Basic Travel Tips

Booking Tours during Peak Seasons - Fall & Spring
If your tour dates overlap with major festivals in the Fall or Spring 12 weeks advance booking is recommended, without early reservations it can be difficult to confirm flights and hotels.

Booking Tours during Slow Season - Winter & Summer
For tours that take place outside of Festival Seasons you should book 5-6 weeks in advance.

Booking Treks
For trekking groups, it is important to book at least 6 weeks in advance, as it requires more complicated planning logistics.

Things you might not think to bring
On all tours in Bhutan you inevitably end up spend a good amount of time traveling by car or bus, we suggest you consider the following as it might make your visit more comfortable:

1. Power converter to plug into car so you can charge your digital camera while you are on the road.
2. Motion sickness medication
3. Music - bring any tapes you might enjoy listening to on or travels. Unfortunately our roads are not quite smooth enough to make use of CD players, although we have had clients with Anti-shock CD players that have worked wonderfully.

The trek was little challenging for someone of my age but nevertheless the views were the most beautiful I have seen anywhere in the world and helped to melt the pain.
