Experience Bhutan Travel (EBT) was founded in 2004 by two seasoned veterans of the field and former senior employees of various travel agencies with an objective of offering higher value-added services to prudent travelers. We are legitimate tour operators fully recognized by the Royal Government of Bhutan holding trade license No. 1018282. We are also member of Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) and Association of Bhutanese Tour Operators (ABTO)
EBT is owned and founded jointly by Mr. Khetnath Sharma & Mr. Tshering Tobgay. Both are young & energetic and well experienced in the field of tourism having both worked in the Bhutanese tourism industry for last several years. Mr. Khetnath Sharma is the founder of Experience Bhutan Travel. He joined the tourism industry soon after the tourism became privatized in 1991. Before establishing his own company, Mr. Sharma worked with various companies and gained experience both in the field and in the office.
With Mr. Sharma's past 15 years experience in tourism, the company runs smoothly and without incidents. When he's not in the office emailing clients and arranging tours; he can be found leading groups into their adventures.

Tshering Tobgay
Director (Operations)

Tshering is a licensed Cultural and Trekking guide and had been working as freelancer in reputed travel companies for more than a decade. Mr. Tshering is a seasoned trekker and cultural guide. He is highly recommended by clients who have visited Bhutan through renowned companies like Abercrombie & Kent and Geographic expedition and others.
Mr. Tshering is well acquainted with Bhutanese tradition & customs, history & religion and all places of interests, trekking trails and on top he has maintained very good public relations and contacts to help smooth all the paths for even our most adventurous and demanding clients. All who have the pleasure of his service go back with fond memories of our Himalayan kingdom.
