Custom's & Visa
Foreign embassies or missions abroad cannot issue Bhutan tourists visas.
• Our clients only need to forward us their passport details such as:

• Nature of passport (Ordinary/Official/Diplomatic)

• Date of issue
• Place of issue
• Date of expiration
• Profession/Occupation
• Dates for which visa is required

Do you need to send us your Passport?
No - The actual visa is stamped on your passport on arrival in Bhutan.
Where do I collect my Drukair Tickets?
You can collect your air tickets from the Druk Air counter when you depart for Bhutan. We deliver your air tickets to Druk Air station concern prior to your arrival there.
Entering the Kingdom by Air
For all travelers, entering Bhutan by Druk Air, the visa clearance is forwarded to all concerned overseas Druk Air stations prior to your arrival and as well as we can send you a scanned copy via email attachment/fax prior to your departure from home.
Entering the Kingdom by Land
* Travelers entering Bhutan by surface via Phuentsholing (border town in south with India); the visa is stamped on arrival by a visa officer appointed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The clearance is forwarded to Foreign Ministry’s Office at Phuntsholing for reference prior to arrival.
Customs
Visitors are required to fill up the Custom Form and handover to concern on arrival.
Following articles are exempted from duty:
a. Personal affects and articles for day to day use by the visitor
b. 2 liters of alcohol, 400 cigarettes, 150 grams of pipe tobacco
c. Instruments, apparatus or appliances for Professional use*
d. Photographic equipment, video cameras and other electronic goods for personal use*
* The articles mentioned under "c"& "d" must be declared upon entry. If such items disposed of in Bhutan by sale or gift, you are liable for a custom duty upon exit.
Import and Export of following goods are strictly prohibited:
a. Arms, ammunitions, explosives and military stores
b. All narcotics and drugs except medically prescribed drugs
c. Wildlife products, especially those of endangered species
d. Antiques.
Old Items, Antiques
Also visitors are to be cautious in purchasing old and used items.
They are to be certified as non-antique.
Plants, Soils, Etc...
Imports of plants, soils etc are subject to quarantine regulations. These items must be cleared on arrival.
